Basic Education
Pre-school education, primary education and regular secondary
school are included in basic education. With children going to pre-school the
age of the three, until they turn six, the children can have up to 3 years of
pre-school education. Two semesters split the school year in half. The
next part of a basic education is secondary education.
Secondary Education is split into
specialised/vocational/technical secondary education and academic secondary
education. Children get academic secondary education through lower and upper
middle schools. If children graduate lower middle school and they want to
continue their education they take an entrance exam, on the basis of which they
can either enter a vocational secondary education school or continue an academic
upper education. A vocational school offers a different type of education, an
education that teachers its students how to be workers, farmers and other jobs
like that. This type of education can last up to four years.
