means "way", "path" or "principle".

Toahism is followed by 20,000,000
(20 milloin) people mostly in china, Taiwan or south east asia. 
Taoism is not really a religion but is another great culture based around
the nature and destiny of mankind and the Universe. . 
Taoism is believed as something that existed "before Heaven and Earth”.
The Toa religion focuses on making the world a better place. During the cultural
revolution of 1966 to 1976, much of the remaining Taoist heritage was destroyed
by the government.  The toaists
believe that evry on should live in hamony with
nature.

 
Taoists
believe in chi which means breath or air. The quality, quantityand balance of
chi is nesesary for good health and a long life. Taoists also believe that death
is a transformation where return back to the stste of non being. Taosists don’t
react to problemes they sit and think over them. Taosists don’t strggle or
strive in life, they exept things to give them iner peace.


Yin
and Yang create balance with the Tao. Yin is the darkness,
femininity,passiveness and water. Yang is the light, masculinity, activity and
air. They must keep a bance of these oposite things in their
life
Taoists temples can be recognised by there roof
they will have a chinese dragon and phoenixes (which are unique birds). The
phoenix is the Yin and the dragon Is the Yan.
