More info-The Chinese New Year

The Chinese New Year was created when 12 animals lived in peace.
All of them waited for the year to end, they all wanted Chinese New Year to be named after them so they all began to argue about who
would have their name in the new year. The King heard all the arguing from his
home far away, he sent his Daughter to go find out what was going on.
The princess asked why they were all arguing. They animals all answered with the
same answer “I WANT THE NEW YEAR NAMED AFTER ME!” the princess replied they
should have a swimming race across the wide river and the princess called “Ready, Set, GO!”
All the animals jumped kin the water and started to swim toward the next bank , the ox was in
the lead but the mouse slyly climbed over his back and jumped on to the river
bank . “I won I won” the rat repeated next was the ox then the tiger, the
rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep/goat, monkey, rooster, dog and the pig. The
king greeted them at the bank congratulating all of them “Now for the next 12
years to come the years will be named in order of winners.” And they all lived
with their names as a year.
